Hi guys! how’s it going? Today was low effort, high reward. Just as I like it! I made three recipes, but two of them were basically the same, just one of them was how to make it and the other was how to apply it. It feels slightly cheaty, but I’ll allow it, it’s technically in the rules.
So the first recipe was an apricot glaze. Basically, you take some apricot jam (though I used mirabelle because it’s all we have), you mix it with some sugar, and you heat it up to boiling point. That’s it! The second recipe was glazing the cake. I applied the glaze on all the cake – including the sides – and put some ground almonds on a plate. Next, you take the the cake in on hand, and some almond in the other, and you sprinkle over the sides to make something sexy. Then I slivered some apricots and put them on top in a pretty pattern. It. was. Awesome. But then what do you expect, it’s a cake made with white flour and sugar, coated with jam – mixed with sugar – and dried apricots. Basically there is literally nothing healthy or redeeming about it. Next – yes I am seriously doing it in the same paragraph. Hmm, I see, It makes it harder to read? well let’s try THIS! … Bold not killin’ it for ya? Okay, well ITALIC IT IS!! so as I was saying, I made some cheese wafers. I basically mixed some butter, some flour and grated cheese in a bowl. Now, she says to make little tester wafers to test the ratios. SO I did that, and I had to add about 3 times the amount of flour than she says. Her ratios are awful. I dont care what you say, but half a pack of butter, 120 grams of cheese and 40 grams of flour do not make a wafer. They make a split sludge. Anyway, after 4 testers and 120 g more of flour, I ended up with a beautiful wafer. It tasted cheesy and delicious. Just as a wafer should be.
That was nice! I am still doing about 3 recipes a day which is good! If I continue like this, ill finish in 106 days! thats 133 less than I need! Like I’ll ever do that. Anyway, I must leave you now. See you!
