Food: Tash’s charcuterie was really good, it had good salami, good terrine and some other things – ham, etc. – Dad had spotlight terrine – Anne’s terrine is always awesome, and it’s homemade! – It also had lettuce, probably home grown (like all the other vegetables here). Bruno, Mum and I had leek quiche which was banging, that’s all I can say! My, my dad’s and my mum’s beef bourguignon was immensely tasty! It came with beans and carrots which were lovely, really garlicky and delicious. Bruno and Tash both had magret de canard (duck breast) and it was topnotch, it was just how it should be – usually people do duck and chips, but the dish was originally duck with potatoes cooked in the fat. For pud, Tash had mint ice-cream which was lush and zingy. Bruno and I had a tooth-achingly sweet cream and passion-fruit cake which was nice, and Mum and Dad had a really good plate of cheese.
Service: Absolutely amazing, although, Thierry has an impenetrable accent.
Atmosphere: OK, not brilliant – atmosphere is where they fall.
Quirky Bits: Tacky paintings, but they are great really.
Little Bits that are Nice: nada.
Bad Bits: rien.

The ‘passion fruit cake’ sound really nice. Extra sweet for me. Happy eating. From Mike xx
