Hey crazy cats! What’s cooking? For me it’s steak and brussels! Nice! To be more precise, I made butter fried steak and cheese coated Brussels sprouts.
To start off with, I blanched my sprouts, simple stuff, nothing too complex. After that, I buttered a dish. Yep. (Why am I going for short sentences?) I then spread the sprouts in the dish, and added more butter (MORE?!). Then I heated it up on the stovetop until it sizzled, then put it in the onion at 150 degrees. Cook for 10 minutes, then raise heat to 200 and add some cheese. cook for about 30 minutes more.
Next, the steak. I heated up some butter with some oil, then added the steak and fried for about 2 minutes a side. Same as usual basically. Then I removed it from the pan, and she said to throw away the cooking fat, but it broke my heart to see that go to waste, so I kept them. Next, I deglazed the pan with some red wine, boiled it down with some shallots and swirled the enrichment butter. The sauce was divine, it was the first real red wine sauce so far. Every dish is better than the last it seems! The brussels too… Buttery cheesy sprouts, need I say more? The steak as usual was well cooked (not well done, cooked right, you know what I mean) .
Okay! That was a good meal… Is there anybody out there? I’m writing these mostly for my friends it seems! I don’t mind to be honest, anyway I got to go! bye!
