Oh yes. Ohhh yes. I made good stuff today. I cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner. My dream day. I think I’m learning quite a bit too. I’m getting to know Julia. I’m getting to grips with French cuisine a bit more too. I made Poached Eggs for breakfast and my friend was the proof that it was good. I made one for her as well and it went quickly and the yolk was runny as you like. I did it in a very different way than usually. I didn’t use a mug to drop it in or drop it into a vortex I just plopped it in and folded the white on top. I cooked it for 4 minutes and it was perfect. But I prefer my standard method of a mug. It produces a more easy and more consistently pretty eggs. I did the second one with my usual technique and it was better.
For lunch I made burgers (not a recipe, sadly). I made them without any recipe (it sounds like a crappy flex but hey) which is cool. I added so much butter it was unreal. I served them with buttered peas and blanched spinach (thank you Mum for growing it). The peas were boiled and then rolled in the pan over a heat to dry them out. Now I long cooked them in butter. Truly splendid. The spinach I boiled and then drained. Simple but effective. All together it created one heck of a meal.
Now the supper. I made a Carbonnade au Boeuf. It was goood. With a Potato Dauphinois. I came back from school and immediately started browning the beef in a searing hot pan. Then I peeled and chopped 2 pounds of onions whilst sobbing (think about their mothers!). I now fried the onions in the meat juices. Then I added the beef into a huge pan and then the onions. I put some stock in and the BEEER. Then I put it in the undoe at one eighty fundo for 2h30, and all will be fine and dandy. I then made my dauphinois by thinly slicing potatoes and putting them in a dish, adding butter, milk and cheese, and slapping that bad boy in the onion for a half hour. This was a good dinner.
That was a good day! It was a long post but It was a nice one to write (especially because it was in front of the film Julie and Julia). See you tomorrow!
C’était une bonne journée! C’était long comme post mais c’était sympa à écrire (surtout parce que j’était en train de regarder le film Julie and Julia en plus). À demain!

Sounds like sterling work, mi hermano.
