Tue 13 october

14th October 2020 by Iggy Brodie

Today wasn’t a particularly productive day, but I got a recipe done so all is good. I did another quiche *facepalms*. It’s official name is Flamiche (I love that name). I started by (again) making a shortcrust pastry. I did the recipe as normal, but to chill it – I was short on time – I put it in the freezer. Don’t.It creates a hard crust and doesn’t even get that cold. So just don’t. I continued as usual, baking and stuff.

Then I long cooked some leeks by boiling them covered in some water and butter (of course) until the water has almost evaporated. Then I lowered the heat and boiled for half an hour more. After that I beat some cream and eggs together, mixed it with the leeks and put in the pastry case. Grate some chesse on that sucker and into the onion she goes. It was probably the best one so far. I basically shared it with 2 other people, there was some left but not a lot after we finished with it 😛

Okay! Have you noticed that all of my outros start with ‘okay’ or ‘cool’ or something like that? Anyway, my foot fell off so bye!
