Hi! I’m back, for better or for worse. I’m just gonna get straight to the point – the classic procrastination phrase!! I made lamb chops , with a curry sauce, braised cucumbers and mushrooms, and wild rice. It was good, and 3 recipes! I like lamb, it’s been a while since we’ve had lamb chops – lamb isn’t that popular in France.
I started by peeling and deseeding some cucumbers, placing them in a pan with some butter, and putting in the oven for an hour. When I was ready to eat I just fried some mushrooms , added some butter and added the cucumbers to the mushroom/cream mixture.Then I made the rice. I blanched it for 5 minutes, fried some carrots and onions in some butter, drained the rice, added it to the vegetables, added some stock and put in the oven. Now, the chops. I Fried them for 3m30 on each side, removed them and added some onions. Then, I added some curry powder. Now she says to put in 3 TO 4 TABLESPOONS!!! WTF!? Anyway, 2 teaspoons later, I cooked for a minute, added some stock , reduced and enriched. It was really nice actually. I love lamb, I even have another chop for tomorrow. The sauce was actually great, not incredibly curryish, but rather perfumed and lovely. The rice was rice, the cucumbers I really like, Mum and Dad not so much.
SO that was nice. I have 218 recipes done, which is nice! If I’m not sick of cooking by the end of this year it’s a good sign that I wan’t to be a chef. Anyway, I gotta mess ruin my life with drugs. Farewell!
