Food: My pigeon was AMAZIIING! It came with wild chantarelle and button mushrooms, really crispy parsnip crisps and an unctuous pancetta gravy, you can tell it was made with care and love. Mum’s warm goats cheese and beetroot salad was really good, perfect amount of each element, nice to see a salad with little lettuce! Dad’s creamy mussels were great, just the right amount of cream, you only need a splash! Now the mains… My pork tenderloin was perfectly cooked, not too rare but not over either. The smokey potatoes were ok, but a bit too subtile, I was expecting kind of roast potatoes but it being mash worked very well. It also had apple chunks, chutney, pancetta and gravy. Mum and dads’ hake however was disappointing; itwas battered and filled with pesto, sounds good right? But it was way too salty. I tried it, and felt like I was eating extra salty anchovies. It came with potatoes and courgettes and a nice sauce.
Service: Really nice, very friendly and welcoming, continuez ainsi
Atmosphere: very nice
Quirky bits: Steel chicken in bathroom
Little bits that are nice: separate multi colour towels in bathroom
Bathroom: good, clean with nice soap and lotion
Bad bits: Fish was too salty
Score: 7/10 could have got an 8 if fish wasn’t as salty
