Today was slightly smaller. I did 2 recipes. Not bad though… I made a sponge cake – which I haven’t tried yet, stay tuned – and some monray gratinated green beans. The sponge cake was beautiful, it rose like a beast.
To make the cake, I melted some butter and left it to cool. Then I whisked some egg yolks with some sugar until it forms a ribbon, and whisked some egg whites to firm peaks with some sugar in a separate bowl. Then, i fold in the egg whites, some flour and the butter into the yolks. I poured the batter into a buttered and floured mould, and cooked in the onion at 150 for 40 minutes. Again, I’ll tell you how it tastes tomorrow, because I haven’t eaten it yet. What I have eaten, is the green beans. To make them, I blanched some green beans until tender, made a monray sauce (bechalem with chizz), and put them together and in the onion for a while. I liked them, I sometimes I don’t like gratinated dishes with cheese sauce, they’re quite heavy, but this was alright!
That was nice, I’m going to do more desserts – I do have about 150 of them – but I’m gonna do them mostly at school, so that’ll make my friends happy. ANyway, I gotta blend up some tacos, bye!
