My first day of veganism was – let’s say – interesting, I don’t think I’ll ever go fully vegan for more than a month. Although, that was what I thought about vegetarianism, I loved that, I even did it for about 5 months!
Breakfast: This was the hardest by far for 2 reasons; 1. we always have eggs, muesli with milk or yogurt; all of which are strictly non-vegan! 2. Dad forgot about my veganism and boiled me an egg! ;( Anyway, I had an apple whilst I tortured myself by merely looking at their eggs. At least it was a good ‘Côte à Côte’ apple!
Lunch: Me and dad had curried beans on toast, what really made me sad was that I couldn’t have the thing that really does it for moi; butter! don’t you just love the butteryness with the beans and the little spiced kick? I know we all do! (although, Mum doesn’t like the spiced kick. Me and dad don’t know why. Each to their own I guess!) Then I had half a piece of toast with peanut butter and banana, a very good combo!
Supper: This time we all had vegan food. Spinach and chickpea curry, dahl (no, not Roald Dahl!) and rice! The dhal was quite spicy, so the spinach and chickpea curry was very refreshing afterwards. The rice was good, brown rice.

Bonjour Iggy
Bon courage with veganism – I had a go for a while but the cheese and butter got me in the end – felt very healthy though and very Holy !! I am sending a link via Hilary’s FB msg page, to a ” Plant based food and Ting ” written for FB by a friend of mine – some very excellent and good tasty vegan dishes. I love Dahl ( Raoul and lentil varieties )
