Hey, wassup? I’m just a guy with an internet connection, 10 bucks and a latte. Today I only made one recipe. I don’t have anything planned, but fridays are busy, so they are usually lighter on the cooking – or at least, the challenge cooking. Whatever, enough blabbing. I made a pear and almond clafoutis.
To do this, I placed – again I’m gonna give proportions so you can follow along at home – 3 eggs, 60 grams of sugar, 240 ml of milk, 70g sifted flour, some almond extract and 85g of ground almonds ( these last two are for the specific clafoutis, If you want to make apple or cherry clafoutis, omit it ) in a blender and whizz for about a minute. Then, core and cut fairly finely about 600g/ 3 large pears. Place a tiny bit of batter in the bottom of a greased 25 centimetre clafoutis pan, or a square dish, then spread the pears on top, then 25 grams of sugar, then the rest of the batter. Put in the oven at 160 degrees for an hour. This is gooooood. The pears and the almonds work incredibly well together, it may even be my best clafout ever!
Well that was nice. I’m thinking of translating my whole site, or at least just my J/J challenge. I really recommend cooking along, these desserts are seriously good if you like sweet stuff. Anyway, I gotta go bye!
